Mexican GCC to invest US$220m in 2007

Mexican cement maker  Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua (GCC) will invest US$220m in 2007.  
 
The money will be applied in transport equipment, storage capacity improvement and in the last stage of the construction of a plant in Colorado, central USA. The Colorado plant will start cement production in the second half of 2007. The bulk of the investment will finance the Colorado plant project. 
 
The construction of the Colorado plant started in 2005. It will have a capacity to produce 200,000t.  
 
GCC projects a 15 per cent YoY growth in sales for 2007. In 2006 the company saw a 46.6 per cent YoY jump in sales.
