Changes to CAC Board of Directors

The Cement Association of Canada (CAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jim Brown, President and Chief Operating Officer of Lehigh Northwest Cement Limited, as Chairman of its Board of Directors, effective March 19, 2007. He succeeds Mr. Alan Kreisberg, who stepped down after serving as Chairman for two years, and will remain on the Board as a member representative.

Jim Brown is President and Chief Operating Officer of Lehigh Northwest Cement Limited, the British Columbia-based subsidiary of Lehigh Cement Company, since January 2004. In addition, he has overall responsibility for the Lehigh Pacific Region on the west coast of North America. Lehigh is the North American arm of Heidelberg Cement, a leading global cement company.

Pierre Boucher, President and CEO of the Cement Association of Canada, stated, "We welcome Mr. Brown as Chairman and are sure that he will be a worthy successor to Mr. Kreisberg. We owe a debt of gratitude to Mr. Kreisberg for his service as Chairman during the last two years."
