Vietnam: new cement plant to open by 2009

Three companies have sunk US$126.7m into building a new cement plant that can produce 3,300tpd of clinker or 1.2Mt of cement a year in Nho Quan district, northern Ninh Binh Province.  
 
Vietnam Construction Investment and Export-Import Corporation (Constrexim Holdings), the Song Gianh Construction Material Joint-stock company and ILG, an international investment company, want to create a modern plant with European standards and hope the Nho Quan project will be operational in 2009.
