Argentine output up 13.6 per cent YoY
Argentina’s production of Portland cement rose 13.6 per cent YoY in November 2006, the Association of Portland cement makers (AFCP) said.
The production of Portland cement increased 7.6 per cent month-on-month in the 11th month of the current year.
The sales of Portland cement, including exports, totalled 847,976t in November 2006.
The Argentine construction sector has been among the main factors for the good development of the Argentine economy in the last few months. Argentine construction activity expanded 18.5 per cent YoY for the January to October 2006 period, compared to the same period a year ago.
