Mexican construction industry to slow down to 4.5 per cent in 2007

Mexico’s construction industry is to expand between 5.5 and six per cent this year. However, according to estimates by Nezahualcóyotl Salvatierra. President of the Mexican Chamber of Construction Industry (CMIC), the expansion pace will go down to 4.5 pct next year, due to the world slow down and higher prices for materials like cement, steel and copper.
