Italcementi, plans to invest a further 185 million euro ($232 million) in Bulgaria in the next year, the government’s press office said on Wednesday.

"In the next year the company will invest 185 million euro in the modernisation of its production [facilities]," the office said but gave no further details.

The Italian cement group, which owns the Devnya cement plant near Bulgaria’s Black Sea city of Varna and cement maker Vulkan in southern Bulgaria, said earlier this week it would make a detailed presentation of its investment plans in Sofia shortly.
