Cimpor  plans to invest  EUR45m to increase the clinker production capacity of its Spanish plants of Cordoba and Niebla (Huelva). Cimpor acquired these plants, both based in the Andalusia region, back in 2002 from Lafarge Asland. A total of 25m euros will be invested in the Cordoba plant, while the rest has been allocated to the other plant.

Cimpor also owns a clinker mill in the port of Huelva, as well as seven concrete production plants in Andalusia. It also has a project to start exploiting a new quarry in Espiel (Cordoba).
