Cemex announces Construction of cement mill in Panama

Cemex announced today the construction of a new cement mill in its operations in Panama. The construction of the new grinding facility is expected to be completed in 2007. 
 
The new plant construction is part of a series of investments totaling US$70 million dollars planned for 2005 and 2006, designated to concrete operations and the construction of the new grinding facility. 
 
The overall objective of this investment plan is to guarantee the supply of cement in Panama to serve the diverse projects that are currently being undertaken in the country. 
 
Cemex initiated its operations in Panama in 1994 and currently employs more than 600 full-time employees.
