20 September 2006

Logistics group Interbulk Investments PLC has extended its contract to provide transport for the UK operations of France’s Lafarge.

Under the three year deal, two Interbulk subsidiaries, UTT and InBulk, will ship ferrous sulphate, used in cement-making, from Germany to the Lafarge UK cement works at Northfleet in Kent.

Interbulk also announced Inbulk’s first order in North America, from Lafarge North America, to supply equipment for transportation of cement powders.

Both contracts involve the ISO-Veyor container, developed by InBulk for effective movement of dry bulk materials that must not be exposed to moisture, the company said.
