Italy’s Italcementi Group, which owns the cement mills Devnya Tsiment and Dimitrovgrad-based Vulkan, said robust demand on the Bulgarian market has boosted the sales of its local units and lower their overseas exports. Earlier this year Italcementi said Bulgaria’s cement consumption would jump 70 percent over the next 5 years from 350 kg per capita to 600 kg. The combined production capacity of Italcementi’s Bulgarian mills is 2.5 million tons annually.
