Texas Lehigh Cement Company, which is jointly controlled by HeidelbergCement and Eagle Materials has negotiated to take a stake in Houston Cement Company. Houston Cement Company was formed by Alamo Cement Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Buzzi Unicem, and Ash Grove Texas and operates two cement terminals on the Houston Ship Channel, the latest and largest of which was only brought on stream earlier this year. The new terminal operates a Siwertell ship unloader with a daily capacity of 12,000t and has a storage capacity of 100,000t. Published under Cement News
