Gujarat Ambuja August cement shipments fall
Gujarat Ambuja Cements Ltd. , India’s third-biggest cement maker, said its August shipments fell 0.5 per cent from a year earlier because of heavy rains in the western states including Gujarat. Sales dropped to 976,000t from 981,000t in the same month last year. Production fell to 939,000t, down 4.5 per cent from 983,000t a year earlier, the company said in a statement.
