Savinsky Cement begins installing new filters
24 July 2006

Savinsky Cement Mill (Eurocement Group) has begun installing a Swedish-made unique horizontal filter.  The contract for the delivery of the filter was signed with France’s ALSTOM Power Stavan. The equipment costs Euro 1.3 million. Environmental measures have been enforced by Savinsky Cement Mill since the company joined the Eurocement holding in 2002.

In 2005, the Savinsky plant manufactured 710,000t of cement, an eight per cent increase from 2004. This year’s plans call for raising output to 890,000t. Based on first-half results, Savinsky Cement Mill produced 371,000t of cement, 30.6 per cent up from the same period in 2005.
