Cement sales in Vietnam will annually increase by 8-10 per cent from now till 2010, according to the Trade Minsitry. Existing cement and clinker makers in Viet Nam will intensify production in the near future because there will be no new cement plants or major clinker facilities constructed between now and mid-2008. Cement makers in the country have a combined annual capacity of producing 29Mt of cement and 19Mt of clinker, said an official from the ministry. The ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufactures also forecast regional demand for cement would grow by seven per cent annually over the next few years.  Published under Cement News
