Holcim Romania raises workforce development

Holcim Romania will invest Euro 600,000, up 30 per cent year-on-year, in programmes aimed at the personal and professional development of its employees, it was reported on June 26, 2006. 
 
The programmes, running for the sixth year in a row, focus on skills which will improve leadership, communication, presentations, negotiations, time and priorities management, marketing, computer literacy, language proficiency and technical abilities. 
 
Each of the company’s 1300 employees is to participate in at least one of the programmes provided. Holcim Romania also encourages its workers to take part in other events such as forums, conferences, workshops in Romania and abroad.
