Italcementi receives social award
Italcementi achieved recognition for TX Active®, the photocatalytic active principle for cement products capable of fighting against air pollution, by receiving the Sodalitas Social Award. Italcementi was granted this prestigious honour in the category “Innovation - significant social and environment-friendly products”.

This award “catalyzes” our commitment to Sustainable Development, a path that Italcementi adopted six years ago by joining the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and by signing the Agenda for Action, the first formal commitment binding the ten international cement companies to an action plan on climate protection, responsible use of fuels and raw materials, health and safety at workplace, interactions with local communities and stakeholders.”
Sodalitas Social Award, at its fourth edition, is an initiative of Sodalitas Association that was founded back in 1995 by Assolombarda and a group of companies and managers. The Italian association, that was thought as a bridge between corporate and non-profit worlds, actively promotes issues of corporate social responsibility.
