06 June 2006

FLSmidth has signed a contract worth EUR 57m with Vietnam National Cement Trading Company for a 3300tpd clinker production line at the Hoang Thach cement plant.

FLSmidth is to supply all the machinery and auxiliary equipment, and several FLSmidth companies and divisions are participating as subcontractors to the project. FLSmidth’s scope of supply includes crushers, a raw mill; a raw meal silo; a complete SLC-D pyro system with preheater, three-support kiln and SF Cross-Bar cooler; electrostatic precipitators and a complete quality and process control system. In addition, building design, supervision and commissioning are included in the contract.

The production line, which is expected to be operational by the end of December 2008, will be the third line to be supplied by FLSmidth for this plant. Originally supplied by FLSmidth in the late nineteen seventies, the cement plant was  expanded in 1993 by adding another FLSmidth production line.
