Cement consumption in Spain rose by 5.2 per cent year-on-year to an all-time high 50.4Mt in 2005, the Spanish cement makers association Oficemen said on January 24, 2006. Cement output in Spain stood at 49.3Mt, rising by 5.7 per cent. Spanish cement imports totalled 9.3Mt, up 13.6 per cent. Exports decreased by 14.9 per cent to 1.35Mt Cement consumption totalled 3.6Mt in December 2005, up 6.6 per cent year-on-year.
