Ramco to set up cement plant in Gulf

India’s business group Ramco has started negotiations with potential partners for setting up a US$100m cement plant in the Gulf region, a senior company official said here.  The Ramco group is in discussion with the potential partners for building an energy efficient plant with a capacity of 1.5Mt of cement, Ramco Group Vice Chairman P R Venket Rama Raja was quoted by Khaleej Times. 
 
The Group, which has operations in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh manufacturing cement, yarn, bio surgical products and application software, is also looking at setting up a drywall partition production unit in Gulf, he said.   Published under Cement News
