Indonesian cement increases by 5.9 per cent

The sales volume of domestic cement in January-November 2005 has increased by 5.9 per cent to 28.864Mt from 27.244Mt in the same period in 2004. However, the total volume of domestic cement exports in the period has declined by 13.4 per cent to 6.077Mt from 7.018Mt  in 2004 (reports Bisnis Indonesia).  
 
The sales volume of Semen Gresik, which seizes a 44 percent domestic cement market share, in January-November 2005, has increased by 4.2 per cent to 14.851Mt from 14.249Mt in the same period in 2004. Semen Gresik has also projected its cement output to rise by 10 per cent to around 16.5Mt for the whole of 2005 from the 15.5Mt produced in 2004.  Published under Cement News
