Cementir, which acquired Aalborg Portland Cement last year, is building a new import terminal for white cement at Tampa in Florida.  This terminal, which will come on stream in 2006, will be supplied with white cement both from the Aalborg works in Denmark and from Sinai White Cement in Egypt.  Also scheduled for completion next year is a doubling of capacity at the Anqing white cement plant in the Anhui province of China.  That will take the annual capacity at this works to 0.2Mt
 
The Italian-based group announced at the end of November that it expects to achieve a turnover of around €835m this year, more than twice the previous year’s level thanks to acquisitions, and an EBITDA of €186m.  For 2006, Cementir has an EBITDA target of approximately €250m.  Published under Cement News
