Growth in building materials production

In Jan-Oct 2005 Armenia produced building materials worth 10.373bn AMD - 20.4 per cent more than in Jan-Oct 2005, reports the trade and economic development ministry. The sales grew by 35.4 per cent to 10.318bn AMD, the exports by 99.4 per cent to 5.231bn AMD.

Ararat Cement’s output grew by 35.6 per cent to 6.967bn AMD, the sales by 44.3 per cent to 6.926bn AMD, the exports by 82 per cent to 3.677bn AMD. Mika Cement’s output dropped by 3.5 per cent to 3.086bn AMD, the sale grew by 19.4 per cent to 3.244bn AMD, the export by 2.6 times to 1.553bn AMD.
