Saudi Yamama cement launches new cement mill

Saudi cement producer Yamama Cement Company (YCC) said on November 19, 2005 it had put into operation an additional cement mill. The new cement mill has a daily capacity of 6,000t. YCC’s daily capacity currently stands at 20,000t of cement. 
 
YCC one of the eight listed cement companies operating in Saudi Arabia, was established in 1961 and is headquartered in the capital Riyadh. The company has a paid-up and authorised capital of SAR450m (US$120m). 
 
YCC posted a net profit of SAR206.9m (US$55.2m) for the first half of 2005, down 40.3 per cent YoY. Published under Cement News
