Egypt’s white cement output stood at 2.724Mt in March 2005, up from 2.303Mt in February 2005, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said in a report. 
 
Production of clinker rose to 2.971Mt in March 2005 from 2.542Mt in the previous month. Local cement sales totalled 2.419Mt in March 2005, compared to 2.1Mt in February 2005 and 1.911Mt in January 2005. 
 
The country’s cement exports grew to 394,000t in March 2005 from 252,000t in February 2005, while clinker exports rose to 533,000t from 494,000t. 
 
Egypt’s cement output stood at 28.728Mt in the fiscal 2003/04, ended June 30, 2004, compared to 28.638Mt in 2002/03, 26.811Mt in 2001/02, 25.101Mt in 2000/01 and 23.543Mt in 1999/00. Published under Cement News
