Cementos Portland net attributable profit up

Spanish cement maker Cementos Portland Valderribas S.A. (Cementos Portland) posted a EUR103m (US$121.7m) net attributable profit for the first nine months of 2005, up 11 per cent YoY, the company said.
 
EBITDA increased by 16.7 per cent to EUR237.6m. Cementos Portland turnover totalled EUR736.3m up 8.8 per cent, boosted by increasing sales of construction materials. 
 
The company sold 7.7Mt of cement and clinker, up 9.1 per cent. Sales of concrete increased by 7.5 per cent to 4.3Mt.
