Nepalese cement plant closes down
31 October 2005

Hetauda [south central Nepal], 28 October: The country’s first cement plant has been closed for the past month and because of the lack of raw materials needed to produce cement, the Hetauda Cement Industry has now closed down.  The industry is apparently bogged down in legal and bureaucratic procedures essential to purchase the vital raw materials and decided to close the plant.
