Switzerland’s cement industry’s domestic cement deliveries grew 6.5 per cent year-on-year in the third quarter of 2005, local industry association cemsuisse said on October 13, 2005.  Cement deliveries rose 7.5 per cent on an annual basis in the first nine months of the year, it added. The rise was attributed, among other things, to the boom in the local home building market which is expected to hold sway until the end of 2005.  Thus far into 2005, domestic cement deliveries amount to 3.2Mt, Cemsuisse said. A total 48.3 per cent of that quantity has been delivered by train.  Published under Cement News
