New orders for Loesche

Brazil: Loesche Gmbh has recently secured an order from Votorantim Cimentos, the largest cement producer in Brazil. Established in 1936 and headquartered in São Paulo, Votorantim Cimentos operates 25 cement plants in Brazil and North America and the company has an output capacity of 25Mt of cement in Brazil alone.  Votorantim Cimentos is part of the Votorantim Group, one of Brazil’s largest corporations.  The order is for the supply of a single LM 45.4 Cement Raw Material which will be installed in the new cement plant to be built in Laranjeiras, located in the State of Sergipe in the North of Brazil.  Powered by a 1850kW motor, the Loesche LM 45.4 mill will produce 380 t/h of ground raw material to a fineness of 17% greater than 90 micron. The mill will be delivered before the end of 2005.


Brazil: Loesche GmbH has received an order from Küttner GmbH & Co. KG, Essen, Germany for a Loesche Mill of type LM 35.3 D. The mill, acquired by Companhia Siderúrgica Tubarao (CST) is designed for a capacity of 94 t/h coal and is equipped with a 1,200kW drive. This is the third Loesche mill for CST. The first mill, also a LM 35.3 D was commissioned in 1995. The second mill, delivered in 2003, has also been successfully in operation since February 2004. The PCI plant is located in Vitória, Espirito Santo, Brazil.


Chile: Loesche South Africa (Pty) Ltd has secured a contract for the supply of the import portion of grinding plant including one new LM17.2D grinding mill fitted with a dynamic classifier. The mill powered by a 200kW electric motor, will grind either 12.5tph of coal to a fineness of 90% smaller than 90 micron or 9.5tph of petroleum coke to a fineness of 95% smaller than 90 micron. The ground product from the new grinding plant will be used to fire lime producing kilns currently fuelled by natural gas.
 
The client and operator of the plant is Industria Nacional de Cemento S.A. (INACESA) and the new LM17.2 D mill will join an existing LM 10 mill at the INACESA lime factory at Antofagasta on the edge of Chile’s Atacama Desert.
 
All the equipment will be ready for delivery 9 months from the award date of the contract.  


Dominican Republic: Cemex has placed an order with Loesche Latinoamericana, S.A.U. for one Cement Raw Material grinding plant to be installed in the new clinker line of CEMEX located at San Pedro de Macorís (Dominican Republic). The LM 48.4 mill included in the contract will grind 385 tons per hour to a finished particle fineness of 10 % R 90µm. The new facility is planned to start operation during next November 2005.
