Cementos Yura to invest US$30m to boost exports

Peruvian cement producer Cementos Yura will invest US$30m (24.4m euro) to boost its exports, the general manager of the company, Antonio Noriega Deza, said on September 14, 2005. 

Part of the resources will be invested in the modernisation of the machinery equipment of the company. Cementos Yura plans reaching 500,000 tonnes annual exports of cement in mid term, Noriega Deza added. 

Cementos Yura wants specially to boost exports to the United States, Europe and northern Africa. At present Cementos Yura has two cement plants in Peru. 

Peruvian cement sales increased to 346,419t in July 2005, up 11.8 per cent YoY.
