Birla July cement shipments fall 3.6%, India

Aditya Birla group, India’s top cement producer, said July cement shipments fell 3.6 per cent from a year ago to 2.01Mt. The Birla group, comprising flagship Grasim Industries Ltd. and UltraTech Cement Company Ltd., produced 2.01Mt of cement in July, down 4.8 per cent from a year ago, a company official said.
