According to local reports, Morocco’s cement sector had witnessed an average 5.95 per cent growth last year compared with the previous year, supported by major housing and road projects in the Kingdom. The report attributed the growing cement sector mainly to executing several "important projects" such as fighting the improper housing and expanding the road system. In addition, the housing financing loans provided by the banking sector grew by 14.5 per cent in the same period.
