Cemex Espana spends on new plant
24 June 2005

Spanish cement maker Cemex Espana SA spent Euro 2.5m on the construction of a new plant for ecological production of ready-mix concrete in Paterna, eastern Spain, opened on June 22, 2005.  The plant is located on 7000 sq m, having an annual production capacity of 150,000 cu m of concrete. The equipment used will reduce emissions of dust and the noise and wastes will be recycled to fresh concrete. The concrete production will be offered only on the market in the eastern Spanish region of Valencia. The new plant will replace the former Cemex ready-mix plant in Paterna which has been operating for over 40 years.   Published under Cement News
