Icelandic Aalborg Portland appoints Managing Director

Icelandic cement importer Aalborg Portland Island hf has appointed Tomas Moller  managing director, it was reported on June 22, 2005.  Tomas Moller will succeed Bjarni O. Halldorsson who has headed the company since it was set up in 2000. 

Aalborg Portland Island is a subsidiary of Danish cement manufacturer Aalborg Portland, which supplies cement to more than 70 countries worldwide, according to the company’s Web site.  Aalborg Portland Island runs two 6000t cement silos for loose cement in Helguvik, on the Reykjanes peninsula and a distribution center for packaged cement.)
