Indian shipments rise

Associated Cement Companies Ltd, India’s second-biggest cement maker, said its May shipments rose eight  per cent from a year ago to 1.52Mt. The Bombay-based company said production totalled 1.57Mt, up 12 percent on year. 

Meanwhile, Aditya Birla group, said its May shipments rose 14.2 percent on a year before to 2.48Mt.  
Cement production was up 14 percent at 2.52Mt.
