Sabanci Holding plans US$150m cement factory, Romania

Turkish conglomerate Sabanci Holding is interested in developing a $150m  cement factory in Romania, government officials said on Thursday.  The plant would produce 1Mta, Romania’s economy ministry said in a statement. 
 
Sabanci Holding also showed interest in future deals, including the import and export of electricity and the construction of an undersea power link between Romania and Turkey. Sabanci Holding is one of the two largest industrial and financial conglomerates in Turkey. It has a portfolio of more than 70 companies.  Published under Cement News
