Holcim Hungaria invests in new factory

Cement maker Holcim Hungaria Cementipari Rt, a subsidiary of Holcim group plans to invest EUR 220m  in the construction of an environment-friendly cement factory in Nyergesujfalu, in northwestern Hungary.

Currently, Holcim Hungaria is in talks with the local authorities of Nyergesujfalu for the purchase of a ground, suitable for the building of the cement factory. 

Holcim Hungaria expects to close 2005 with a revenue of HUF30bn (US$145.4m). The company generated a net revenue of HUF28.4bn (US$137.7m) for 2004, selling 1.3Mt of cement in 2004.
