Higher demand pushes Holcim Romania Q1 turnover

Holcim Romania said on its first-quarter turnover rose 10% YoY as a result of higher demand on the local cement market. The company posted EUR 16m in sales through March, the company said in a statement.  Its 2004 turnover reached EUR 130m, up by 30 per cent. Projections for 2005 forecast its growing by some 10 per cent. The cement market was estimated at some EUR 280m last year.  Holcim Romania plans to invest EUR 32m in 2005. The company has three cement, three aggregate and 13 concrete plants.
