The average cement retail price in Zhejiang province, eastern China, in March 2005 was 30 per cent lower compared with January 2004, the Zhejiang Price Supervision Department said.  The average price of the benchmark 42.5 grade cement was 322.2 Chinese yuan (US$38.9) per tonne in March 2005, down 29.2 per cent from January 2004. The falling price is the result of the higher growth in China’s cement production capacity compared with growth in demand.  Published under Cement News
