Lafarge to complete new cement works in Mexico

Lafarge expects to complete the construction of  a new cement works in thestate of Hidalgo by the end of 2005 or the beginning of 2006. The head of Lafarge’s Mexican operations, Maximo Dolman, said the plant  will initially produce about 600,000tpa of cement, with the possibility of doubling the production capacity in the future. The company has invested US$120m in the new plant.
