LILAMA paves way for cement plan, Vietnam

Vietnam Construction and Machinery Installation Corporation (LILAMA) will execute the VND1 trillion (US$63m) project to build the Song Thao Cement Plant for the Song Thao Cement Company.  

The factory, to be based in Phu Tho Province, will have an annual production capacity of 910,000t of cement.   According to Pham Hung, General Director, LILAMA, the company would also manage other sub-contractors for plant construction, including the Construction Materials Consultant Company, the China-based Tien Xin Cement Technology Institute, the Urban and Houses Development Corporation and the Phu Tho Cement Company.  

While LILAMA will execute major infrastructure projects, supply and install machinery for the plant, the sub-contractors will be charge of the overall design of the factory.   The plant is expected to be completed in 20 months, LILAMA said.
