Combined cement sales at US$1.307bn, Saudi Arabia

The combined sales of Saudi Arabia’s eight cement companies rose to SAR4.9bn  (US$1.307bn) in 2004 from SAR4.5bn  (US$987m) in 2003.

The cement companies’ total cement output stood at 25.5Mt, up from 24.1Mt. Local sales rose to 23.8Mt from 22.2Mt, while exports totalled 1.8Mt, compared to 1.5Mt.
