A fire broke out in Austrian cement producer Lafarge Perlmooser in Mannersdorf, Lower Austria, on the evening of January 6, 2005.  The fire, which started in one of the cable conduits was extinguished after four-and-a-half hours.  The damage will be cleared up within several days, according to the company, which is part of global Lafarge Group.
