Cement sales rise in Indonesia

Sales of cement on the domestic market rose slightly to 1.99Mt in Nov. 2004 from 1.97Mt in the same month in 2003. Data at the Indonesian cement association said exports rose to 562,787t in November 2004 from 551,918t in the same months in 2003. Exports in the first 11 months of this year totalled 2.56Mt, up from 2.52Mt in the same period last year. Sales on the domestic market rose  eight per cent to 27.244Mt in the Jan-Nov. period.
