New orders for ABB

ABB has been awarded a contract by the Vietnam Construction & Import-Export Corporation (VINACONEX) for electrical and automation equipment for the Cam Pha cement plant. The contract value exceeds EUR12m.
The project for the new cement plant to be built is split in five packages; ABB is responsible for package No. 5 (pp5) which comprises the complete IndustrialIT Solution package with process control systems, expert optimiser system for kiln cooler plus mill optimisation and an information management system. The
electrification equipment includes HV and MV switchgear, MV power factor compensation, emergency power distribution, motor control centre and uninterrupted power supply. Furthermore ABB delivers MV fix speed drives and all variable speed drives plus LV motors.
