Garadagh cement increases output

Garadagh Cement has put out about 1Mt of cement since the beginning of this year.   The chairman of the board of Garadagh Cement Uwe Koehler told Azer-press that it was planned to put out 1.3Mt of cement until the end of this year and as much should be produced next year because the company will be busy repairing the facilities and continue importing clinker from Russia. Besides, the market price of cement may rise somewhat next year. The tariffs will be adjusted with the reference to the transportation and packaging costs and the inflation of 4-5 per cent. So, the price may go 6 per cent up, according to Uwe Koehler.   The joint-stock company is in no fear because new cement plants are opened in the country.   ’We would welcome any competitors’, Uwe Koehler remarked.   The company produced 963,000t of cement last year.   Published under Cement News
