Grenade explodes inside cement factory

Sri Lanka: A grenade attack took place Wednesday evening allegedly targeting a leading private sector cement factory, Tokyo Cement, which is located in Chinabay, about 9 km off Trincomalee town police said. According to an initial report, a person who came from the beach had thrown the grenade and it fell inside the premises of the factory and exploded. Army officials rushed to site on receipt of information and had collected the clip of the exploded grenade from the site, sources further said. The SLA and Police immediately launched investigation into the incident, sources said. Published under Cement News
