Cimpor thinking of expanding South Africa capacity

Cimpor is studying a possible investment in increasing the production capacity at South African subsidiary NPC - Natal Portland Cement, bought in 2002, a Cimpor spokesman told Jornal de Negocios.

The spokesman would not say how much Cimpor is thinking of investing but said the expansion might be carried out through expansion of existing plants, construction of new plants or the acquisition of cement works.
