02 August 2004

Cement Industries of Malaysia Bhd (CIMA) is open to forming "strategic" partnerships with foreign parties to expand regionally in the future, the New Straits Times reported, quoting Managing Director Rosli Shariff.

The report quoted Rosli as saying that the strategic tie-ups will entail "coming and sharing their resources with the view to expand, acquire new plants and build them." CIMA is Malaysia’s second-largest cement company with about 18 per cent share of the domestic market.
