The Dniprotsement company (Dniprodzerzhynsk, Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine) has modernized cement grinding mills No 1 and No 3 of cement grinding shop.  Reconstruction of cement mills 1, 2, 3, transfer of mills 1 and 3 into closed cycle of cement production, as well as setting of the new separator system on line 2 have all been carried out.

In particular, during reconstruction the plant set separators and interiors of mills BHG Brockhausen&Holze (Germany), main and aspiration filters Kowent SA (Poland), elevators Rexnord Corporation (USA), converters Raumaster Oy (Finland), air compressors Kaeser Kompressorit Oy (Finland) and process-controlling system (Poland). The cost of reconstruction cost about Euro7m.

The reconstruction of concrete mills will permit to start production of cements with new quality characteristics, a cement of the "new generation," reduce dust ejection for separating grinding by 20-30%, increase reliability of production, improve power saving and labor conditions.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Dniprotsement posted net profit of UAH 0.037 million in 2002.  It increased sales by 11.9 per cent or UAH 6.339 million in 2002 compared with 2001, to UAH 59.693 million.  The German Dnipro Deutschland Beteiligungs-und Verwaltungs-GmbH company, affiliated with HeidelbergCement, acquired the control share stake in Dniprotsement in spring 2002. HeidelbergCement presently owns over 80 per cent of Dniprotsement’s shares via Dnipro Deutschland.
