30 June 2004

The dispute between Cemex and the administration of Bogota city, Colombia, regarding a pledge for Cemex to indemnify Bogota for the damages caused by bad quality cement supplied by it to the Transmilenio urban transportation ring, is to be discussed in the Paris Chamber of Commerce, France. Bogota claims US$20m from Cemex, while Cemex  has apparently stated that would only accept to settle 50 per cent of this sum. Published under Cement News
